Bark Cat Bark is the collective works of young multi-instrumentalist mastermind and poet Josh Todd. Signed to Playground Records, Josh Todd has been releasing music since 2003 under his Bark Cat Bark guise, with his latest release being 2008's 'Rest In Tale' with help from beautiful vocalist Katie Morrice.

Creating minimalist classical music with highly romantic overtones, sounding like something straight out of 'The Legend Of Zelda' has never been easy, but with a vast array of instruments, musical ability and talent, Bark Cat Bark certainly produce the goods. Usual suspects such as the violin, cello, piano, flute and drums are all here, alongside some stranger instruments such as the Bouzouki, Mountain Dulcimer, Gayageum, Mandolin, Phonofiddle, Zither, Harp, Ukulele, Piccolo, Kantele, Hammered Dulcimer, Melodica, Accordion, Euphonium, Theremin, Kinnor, Bassoon, Bandura and Kokyu!

Pieces such as 'Ichabod Crane' and 'Pinocchio' are a masterclass in how to create smooth, free flowing classical music with as much passion and grace as a swan on a fresh spring morning. Echoes of composers of the past such as Tchaikovsky and Vivaldi are present in the music, alongside modern contemporaries such as Sigur Ros, Patrick Wolf and Konstantin Gropper.
