The Barrie Storm Prediction Center (BSPC) is a service that issues Severe Thunderstorm and Tornado Watches during the summer and Winter Storm Watches for the winter for the Barrie area.
Its mission is to provide timely accurate forecasts of Severe Thunderstorms, Tornadoes and Winter Storms.
The BSPC also monitors heavy rain, heavy snow and other hazards across the Barrie area and then issues specific products for those hazards.
The BSPC uses its suite of products to relay forecasts of organized severe weather as much as three days ahead of time, and continually refines the forecast until the event is done.
All products issued by the BSPC are available on the World Wide Web.
However, user can also get those products emailed or send to their cell phones.
