The Basilean Eagles, Turkey Bowl 2005 Champions
The
Basilean Eagles is a literary society at Bob Jones University.
The Eagles have had to battle a bad reputation from past years, but is slowly showing who they really are; a society of dedicated, hard working men who want to honor Jesus Christ more than anything.
Currently, the society is home to forty-six students.
It has been said that you can go to any other society and find numbers of guys who wish they had joined another society; every member of Basilean knows he made the right choice, and has never or will never regret it.
Sports
The Eagles have won five of the last six Turkey Bowl Championships.
They have also placed in the top three in Basketball over three of the last four years.
Although a minor sport, Basilean is proud of winning three straight Badminton Championships.
"The Basilean Eagles defeated the Omega Lions in a decisive 2-1 victory in this year's Turkey Bowl.
Basil was on the scoreboard in under a minute, silencing the roar of Omega's cheering section.
This victory gave Basilean its tenth Championship title, and handed Omega its eighth consecutive loss since it's last win in 1997.
Basilean finished off the season with an outstanding record of 45-0-0 within its league."
