Basis democracy is a form of democracy where leaders are chosen by representatives elected by the citizens.

This encourages leaders to be chosen on merit rather than through party politics because of their vast wealth, contacts or their ability to win elections.

In the UK it would mean that the MPs of a new Parliament would choose from themselves who would become the new Prime Minister and inner cabinet. As such it would prevent the 'Presidential' style of elections.

  • Personal view:
Democracy stands on wisdom( not metaphysic one but logical thinking of real human life and society)and justice. The democratic goverment cannot abolish Human Rights. The Human Rights is the reflection of democratic justice and wisdom at persent time.
