Bat Conservation International is an organization, based in Austin, Texas, whose aim is the protection of bats all over the world.

It was founded in 1982 in Wisconsin by Dr Merlin Devere Tuttle, and moved to Austin in 1986. It had 8,000 members at that time. Today, Bat Conservation International claims 14,000 members in 70 countries[1].
