The first Battle of Hogwarts takes place during June 1997.
Voldemort’sDeath Eaters, break into Hogwarts by way of a Vanishing Cabinet.
Which is located in the Room of Requirement.
Draco Malfoy had spent the better part of a year fixing it on Voldemort’s orders.
He also had been ordered to murder Dumbledore.

Second Battle
The second battle takes place during May 1998, with Snape as headmaster of Hogwarts, Voldemort has control.
Harry and others sneak into Hogwarts with help from Aberforth.
They alert the teachers who enact defensive measures against the Death Eaters, all of the students are evacuated with the exception of those of age who want to stay and fight.
Members of the Order of the Phoenix sneak in the same way Harry and the others do.
They help fight and eventually win.
Although there are many casulties.
Voldemort is finally defeated after many lives were lost.
