Bauer Elementary is a
Elementary School located in
Miamisburg, Ohio
and is one of the schools that makes up
Miamisburg City Schools. This school
currently holds grades K-5.
Overcrowding problems has plagued the school
during the
1990s and the mid
2000s forcing the school to
use multiple
Portable classrooms. In June of 2007
Superintendent Dallas Jackson announced that the school district
would need to relocate the Kindergarten classes to makeshift class
rooms the Parkview
Methodist Church. Many parents are concerned with
this move because the classroom at the church are very small, it
has no library or computers, and the building has no security.
Additionally a small group of parents have also announced a
potential
separation of church and
state law suit if the district makes this move.
Adding to
the problems of the school district, Bauer Elementary was closed
during the summer of 2007 for
Asbestos removal.
