== About ==
Beau Daniel Williamson is a Canadian
male born September 3, 1990. He should be best known for his role
as the
lead
vocalist in the young
ska
band
Utopian Skank and The Piss.

Early Life
Beau was born in
Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on September 3, 1990 to Guy and Cindy
Williamson. He was their first child. 2 years later they would have
a daughter named Jacquelyn (Jacky), the last of their children to
date. Beau was raised from birth until near the end of grade 1 in
Mill Woods, Edmonton, Alberta. At the end of grade 1, the
Williamsons moved to an acreage right outside Sherwood Park, AB. He
attended Holy Redeemer Catholic School in Ardrossan for grades 2-8.
A new school was built in Sherwood Park, Holy Spirit Catholic
School, and he attended grade 9 there. He currently attends high
school at
Archbishop Jordan
Catholic High School. It should be noted the Beau is not
Catholic or even Christian for that matter, he is in the Catholic
school system because of his mother's wishes.
Throughout his
elementary years, he was an average student and a friendly and
imaginative person. Starting in junior high, his grades began to
increase, and then averaged out again by grade 9, mainly because of
his "laziness". Musically, as a child he listened to whatever was
being listened to at the time without a problem. His mother enjoyed
country at those times, as well as folk and pop which she still
enjoys today. His father was a
classic-rock and
blues listener who got Beau into
Black Sabbath at an early
age. He really started getting into modern
metal music in junior high, when he was shown
some songs by a good friend of his. His first favorite were
Nu-Metal groups
Slipknot and
Mudvayne. His musical
taste has matured since then, however Slipknot still remains one of
his all-time favorites, especially their early work.
He joined
Utopian
Skank in September of grade 10 when an old acquaintance from
Holy Redeemer asked him to attend a practice. This was
Savic
Panylyk, the current
Tenor Saxophone and
Keyboard player for Utopian Skank. He was
formerly the lead vocalist as well until Beau joined the group. He
provided them with a different vocal element and a few influences
from his rock/metal roots.
Current Musical Endeavors
Beau is currently in two bands, the main one being the
aforementioned
Utopian Skank. The other band is a group
consisting of the
Rhythm Guitar player from Utopian Skank,
Andrew
Furlong, and the Sherwood Park drumming legend,
Marc Dotto. Other members in
the latter group are on-and-off. Marc Dotto has also stepped in as
temporary drummer for Utopian Skank until they can find a new one
since the resignation of former drummer
James Schaaf. Utopian Skank is a
ska band that also delves into
other genres such as
Pop
Punk and sub-genres of Ska such as
SkaCore and
Skock. The other group which has yet to be named has
so far come up with no original material but they have successfully
covered several songs by such bands as
Lamb of God,
Trivium,
Killswitch Engage, and
Metallica.
Beau's main
passion in music is
vocals. He possesses a dark, rich voice and can
produce
clean
vocals and metal-style
growling and
screaming with equal ease and enthusiasm. However,
he has some range issues when escalating to higher notes, but he
has a decent
falsetto
that helps him out from time to time. As of now, his exact range is
not known, but it is known he can reach extremely low pitches, both
through normal singing and
death grunting.
Aside from vocals, he also
enjoys playing the
Piano/
Keyboard as well as
Guitar and
Bass.
For writing purposes, he mainly uses his keyboard and the computer
program
Guitar
Pro. He enjoys
drums as
well, but does not own his own kit. He has written hundreds of
songs himself, both in the form of lyrics and/or music, but none of
them, save for the lyrics of
Dull Pencil, which is a Utopian Skank song, have
seen the light outside of Beau's computer room. He mainly writes
Trance and
Prog-Metal music, and
Anti-Christian and
Gore-style lyrics.
Musically, he takes much of his
influence from bands such as
Lamb of God,
Arch Enemy,
Killswitch Engage,
Mastodon,
Slipknot,
Children of Bodom,
Dimmu Borgir,
Cradle of Filth,
Necrophagist,
Job for a
Cowboy, and
Dragonforce. Lyrically, he is greatly influenced
by
Slayer, Lamb of God,
and various
Death
Metal and
Black
Metal bands, those mainly being
Cannibal Corpse, Necrophagist, Job for
a Cowboy,
Nile,
Gorgoroth, Dimmu Borgir, Cradle
of Filth, and
Mayhem. In
matters of
Ska, he admires bands
such as the
Mighty Mighty BossTones, the
Aquabats, the
Planet
Smashers, and the
Mad Caddies.
Appearance
Beau is a
Caucasian male with
dark brown hair which is currently styled into short
Dreadlocks and he has brown
eyes. He is about 5 feet 10 or 11 inches tall and weighs
approximately 145 pounds. He is usually seen wearing all black
clothing, along with many accessories such as several spiked
leather wrist bands,
pentagram rings, a blood vial necklace, and
occasionally one from his vast arsenal of bandannas.

Miscellaneous
Beau greatly
enjoys drawing. Above all things he enjoys drawing the nude or
scantily-clad female figure, mainly in the form of a female demon
(
succubus) or various
characters in fantasy games such as
World of
Warcraft, mainly the
Trolls and
Night Elves. He also enjoys drawing
demons and other
frightening, evil monsters. Every once in a while, he goes through
his
Aliens vs. Predator phase where he draws
the creatures from that world. He also enjoys computer gaming, some
of his favorite games include all of the
Quake and
Doom
series, mainly
Quake 3 Arena, for which he has made several
skins and maps. He also enjoys all the
Blizzard games, like the
Starcraft,
Diablo, and
Warcraft series. He owns all of the aforementioned
games, along with countless others. He also enjoys reading, among
other things he enjoys reading religious works such as the
Satanic
Bible by
Lavey (it
should be noted that Beau is not a
Satanist, however he is not a
Christian either), and
fantasy/
science-fiction
novels. His favorite books are the
Aliens vs.
Predator series and
Halo:
The Fall
of Reach.
He also takes
Kung Fu at the
Sil-Lum
Institute of Advanced Martial Arts and Chi-Gung Studies in
Sherwood
Park, AB, CA. He is currently a blue sash (Order from least to
greatest: White, Yellow, Orange, Green, Blue, Red, Black). He has
taken is since about April of 2004 (the later half of grade 9). He
has attended several tournaments in many places around
