Bel Ami is an upcoming film starring Robert Pattinson and Uma Thurman. The film is directed by Declan Donnellan and Nick Ormerod and is based on the 1885 French novel of the same name by Guy de Maupassant.[1]

Hagen Bogdanski will direct the principle photography which began in early February in London and Budapest[2][3][4][5], aiming for a 2011 release.[1] Simon Fuller who helped fund the film also served as an executive producer.[4][3]
The film stars Robert Pattinson as Georges Duroy. Pattinson describes Duroy as being "totally amoral"[6]. Uma Thurman as Madeleine Forestier, Duroy's secret love interest, Kristin Scott Thomas as another love interest of Duroy.[1] Christina Ricci will star as Clotilde, Holliday Grainger as Suzanne, Philip Glenister as Charles, Colm Meaney as Rousset, and Natalia Tena as Rachel.[3][7].
