Production and Management
----
Chris Bender and JC Spink opened Benderspink in November of 1998.
They have maintained a successful first look deal at
New Line Cinema since their first term in 1999 and while there they produced
The Butterfly Effect,
A History of Violence ,
Just Friends, and
Monster-in Law.
Their clients have worked on numerous
New Line Cinema movies over the years, such as
Final Destination .
Benderspink Management maintains a select group of both writer and actor clients and develops both internally (as with Just Friends) and with writers outside of their management roster (as with A History of Violence).
Successful in both the comedy and thriller genre, Benderspink movies tend to fall within the modest $25-60 million dollar budget range.
Chris Bender and JC Spink have worked with numerous first-time directors as well as seasoned directors like
Wes Craven and
David Cronenberg.
JC's vast knowledge of comic book properties have led Benderspink to producing A History of Violence and setting up numerous projects such as
DC Comics's
Y: The Last Man at New Line Cinema and Pet Robots at
Disney.
