Benny Strange is a Los Angeles-based indie band,
founded by singer/songwriter and sole member David Avram
Brown.
Recordings
Benny Strange
released a self produced EP entitled Nowhere Left to Run
in September of 2006. The EP was recorded by Joe Zook
(Modest
Mouse) and Ethan Willoughby (Black Eyed Peas,
Justin Timberlake). The popularity of
the EP earned Benny Strange first place in ReverbNation's SXSW
Contest in February of 2007. In addition, Benny Strange was the
only band to have two winning singles in the top 10 of the Indie /
Alternative genre during OurStage.Com's national competition in
August of 2007, finishing at both first and fourth place.
A
second EP is currently in production, co-produced by keyboardist
Anthony Enns, and planned for release in late
2007.
