Bertha Clara von Rothschild (January 2, 1862 - September 18, 1903) was a member of the prominent Rothschild banking family of Germany who became part of the French nobility through marriage. Born in Frankfurt am Main, she was the youngest of the seven daughters of Mayer Carl von Rothschild (1820-1886). Her mother was Louise de Rothschild (1820-1894), the daughter of Nathan Mayer Rothschild of the English branch of the family.

Bertha Clara von Rothschild married Louis Philippe Marie Alexandre Berthier, Prince de Wagram (1836-1911) and made their home at Château de Grosbois, a large estate in Boissy-Saint-Léger, southeast of Paris. They had the following children:
  • Alexandre Louis Philippe Marie, (1883-1918)
  • Elisabeth (1885-1960)
  • Marguerite (1887-1966)


  • Bertha Clara von Rothschild died in 1903 in Paris. Her son Alexandre became the 4th Prince de Wagram on his father's death in 1911 but the title became extinct after he was killed in World War I without having married.
