Each week a different family works together in an attempt
to win new prizes, often risking their own possessions (hence,
'Bet' the House). The games played differ from week to week, but
always feature at least one 'Cash Dash,' where a specified amount
of money is given for each of a particular household item gathered
in a limited time, and one 'Family Trivia Quiz,' where the family
is asked questions about themselves or their home.
On May 9th,
2008 Bet The House earned its highest ratings in the shows young
history. The show did hours of 4.8 and 4.1 up from the previous
high of 3.9. The featured family was the Tumminello family of
Wayne, New Jersey.
