Beta Tau Fraternity (
ΒΤ) was
founded on
September 29 1957 in
Potsdam,
New York as a
Clarkson University fraternity.
Beta Tau has remained an active social fraternity since that time.
Although mainly a social fraternity, Beta Tau is also active in
other respects including community events and interfraternity
sports.
The Beta Tau Fraternity house is situated on lovely
Washington Street, where there is an excellent view of majestic
Potsdam. From the front porch of the house, you have a clear view
of the VFW, and the "beautiful" purple house across the way.
Neighboring the house is a local Sorority, Phi Sigma Sigma, and a
rental house known as "The White House". At the end of the road,
there is a set of railroad tracks, once host to the infamous "Sable
Jump" in which a car full of brothers launched over the railroad
tracks at a death defying 70 mph, and "flew" for 40 linear
feet.
A portal for the Beta Tau actives and alumni is maintained
by John Menkart on behalf of the fraternity and can be accessed
at:

The
Washington DC area has a high
concentration of relocated Alumni.
