Beyond the Beltway with Bruce DuMont is a political talk show based in Chicago. It airs from 7-9PM (ET) every Sunday night on 41 stations, including its flagship WLS-AM 890/Chicago, Sirius-XM Satellite Radio (POTUS Channel 130) and online at http://www.beyondthebeltway.com. It was one of the flagship programs for the Washington, D.C.-based Radio America network.

The show began in June of 1980 on Chicago Public Radio as "Inside Politics". It pioneered a feisty style of confrontational political discussion that has become a staple on cable TV. However, the program has mellowed over the years and now offers a more reflective style of political discussion.

The program featues three guests each week from across the political spectrum as well as listener phone participation. DuMont has strong conservative credentials but is a moderate in today's political talk circles. The program frequently originates from an affiliate location to underscore the program's prime mission of "taking America's political pulse from border-to-border and coast-to-coast."

A television version of the show airs Sunday night on WYCC-TV Channel 20 in Chicago.

  • Executive Producer/Host - Bruce DuMont
  • Producer - Ben Stewart
  • Audio Engineer - Tom Vercruysse
  • Television Director - Fritz Golman
