Bhama (Malayalam: ഭാമ) is a Malayalam film actress. She debuted in 2007 through Nivedyam directed by Lohithadas. Her original name is Rekhitha. She hails from Mannarkadu near Kottayam, she is the daughter of late Rajendra Kurup and she has an elder and younger sister, her mother is a house wife. Before her entry to film industry, she was doing a matrimonial programme on television titled Thaali. Lohithadas spotted her in the programme and cast her in Nivedyam.[1]. Her second film was Hareendran Oru Nishkalankan directed by Vinayan, in which she was cast opposite Manikuttan. She paired with Vineeth Sreenivasan in Cycle directed by Johnny Antony. The film was a major success and was touted as the 'the first genuine hit of 2008'.
