Biblical people are several hundred fictional or historic people cited in the Bible/Torah. They are translated differently depending on the time being translated, the translator(s), the new language and the original language.

Roles


Biblical people play, as in many literature works, different role. They are good and bad fictional character or real people, prophets or mystic characters like angels.

Old testament


In the old testament, significant figures include Adam and Eve, Abraham, Moses, and several Judaic kings, including King David and King Solomon.

New testament


According to some Christians, Jesus is a main and central key figure in the new testament, followed by his parents and the twelve Apostles of Jesus.
