Bicycle Safety Camp was an educational video made
in 1989 that used rap songs
performed by "Sam Sprocket" to teach bicycle safety rules, stressing the importance of
helmet use, turn signals,
stoping at intersections, among other things. The video was aimed
at children in grades 1-4 and was produced by The Injury Prevention Program
a subsidary of the American Academy of
Pediatrics. Although the video itself is somewhat dated, it is
still used in many elementary school health ciriculums across the
country.
