Big 5 Sporting Goods (NASDAQBGFV) is a sporting goods retailer headquartered in El Segundo, California with 384 stores in Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington.[2] Steven G. Miller is the Chairman, President, and CEO.

The Big 5 name is derived from its start as five California located Army-Navy surplus stores in the 1950s. For the 2004 fiscal year, Big 5 had $769.9 million in sales.

In 1988, Sportswest and Sportsland were acquired from Pay 'n Save.
