Bikie is an Australian term for a motorcyclist, but which also carries connotations of gang affiliation - it thus has the same meaning as the American term biker.
While many of the groups and mores of Australian bikie culture are the same as, and indeed imported from, the U.S., there are inevitably some differences too.
