Bikini speedbandits is a short humorous film, made
by the Danish road safety council.[1732] The film is presented as an
English language, human interest, television news story, reporting
on a Danish corps of scantily clad females, who hold up speed limit
signs to attract the attention of motorists. As a Dane would
immediately recognize, the film is satirical, and there is no such
corps. Nevertheless, the film has been widely copied on the
internet, and has been taken seriously by many viewers, misled by
the authentic style of the English-speaking narrator of the film.
