Bill Karins is an NBC Meteorologist born in 1974 in Albany, New York. Karin's reports weekdays for NBC's Early Today, MSNBC's First Look, Way to Early, and Morning Joe, appears on CNBC. Prior to being named NBC Meteorologist Karins was one of the original meteorologists for the now shuttered NBC Weather Plus. He is MSNBC and NBC News Chief Meteorologist.

Since 2009, Karins has been the meteorologist on Weekend Today on Saturdays.


NBC Weather Plus Meteorologist Bill Karins was born in 1974 in Albany,NY, Bill Karins got his start chasing tornadoes at NBC affilate KSNT-TV-KSNT-DT in Topeka,Kansas.Working in North Carolina at Local Station WCTI-TV-WCTI-DT He Reported from inside the eye of hurricanes covering Hurricanes,Bertha and Fran in 1996 and Hurricane Bonnie in 1998,Bill Spent time forecasting winter storms in Bangor, Maine and also covered hurricanes Charley,Jeanne,Frances and Ivan in South Florida,While At NBC Weather Plus He Updates the Weather And Severe Weather Updates On NBC Early Today,NBC Nightly News,MSNBC,CNBC and CNBC World.

Favorite Weather Phenomenon:I've been in hurricanes and chased tornadoes but nothing amazes me or scares me as much as the lghtning in central,florida. I Lived there for three summers dodging lightning bolts every afternoon.Every Saw Sparks fly off a parking lot medal light poll directly above my car,Glad i waited in the store.
