Billy Bob the Cactus Blob is a series of computer games created by Ryan Hoss ("Phlibbit") and programmed using The Games Factory. The first installment, Billy Bob the Cactus Blob, was created in 2001, due to Hoss's extreme anger at not being able to program good games with TGF. After additional titles were released, such as Billy Bob 0.5 and Billy Bob #: Subtitle, the series became more and more popular. Its official website, Billy Bob Web, was started in 2004.

The earlier series of games are known for their odd sense of humor and blatant lack of work and showmanship. For example, Klungo, from the Banjo-Kazooie series of games appears as a boss in the first game, poorly-sprited and with his name misspelled as "KULGNO."

The later games, such as Billy Bob DX and the upcoming Billy Bob DX 2, are remakes of the earlier games, and are very anticipated releases. Billy Bob DX has even won various web gaming awards at The Games Factory communites, such as The Daily Click.

Characters

Billy Bob the Cactus Blob, the protagonist. Son of Billy Bo Bob and Billyina Bob. Brother to Vern, and, (in the Super Cactus Brothers fangame) Willy Wob.

Too Mah Toe, the main antagonist. Too Mah Toe was actually Billy Bo Bob, but after anadventure went awry, he was brainwashed and became evil.

Billy Bo Bob, father to Vern and Billy, husband to Billyina. He is playable in Billy Bob 0.5, which tells how he became the evil Too Mah Toe.

Hickman McGee, a family friend. He was brainwashed into doing evil deeds for most of Billy Bob 2/Billy Bob 2 DX, but is now one of Billy Bob's allies.

The Cactus King, king of Cactus Land. Was portayed as being evil in Billy Bob 1 but that has changed drastically. He is one of Billy's allies.

Gooplorg, one of Billy Bob's friends. She originally challenged him to a race before she would join him, and is now a very helpful ally.

Vern, brother to Billy Bob, son to Billy Bo and Billyina. He is a golden-barrel cactus.
