== Bimmerforums.com ==
Bimmerforums.com was started in late 2000
as a community for BMW enthusiasts all over the world. It was and
still is used as a great source of information for anyone who has
or who is looking to purchase a BMW. The forum gained great
readership in the upcoming years, and now has almost 13 million
posts along with just a little over 178 thousand registered users.
Currently, Big-Boards.com has ranked bimmerforums as the 74th
largest message board around which is an astounding accomplishment
for something that just started out a few years ago as a place for
people to discuss cars.
The Forums
The forums are a
compilation of many sub forums which include areas for almost
anything and everything one can think of when it comes to BMW's.
There are general BMW forums, forums for pictures, forums for each
specific model of a car, a regional section, and feedback forums
where users can suggest or discuss issues they think need to be
taken care of within the forum.
Even though bimmerforums is
fairly large, it is a pretty tight knit community which has brought
people together from all over the world. Through the use of the
regional section, members are able to organize meets in which
people close by from the area all gather face to face, get to meet
each other in person, and discuss cars, or whatever else they want
with each other. Some of these meets consist of hundreds of cars,
and they have become so popular, that one of the events is even
shown in an actual BMW commercial.
Through the use of the
bimmerforums community, many people are able to help each other out
whether it is with car problems, advice about their next upgrade,
or even purchasing a car. Members located in California may make a
post in the Tri-State regional section so that someone can look at
a car for them and tell them about any problems before the fly out
from California to purchase the vehicle. Many members are willing
to help each other out without any compensation whatsoever and it
has helped a lot of hard working people save time and money.
Due
to bimmerforums being such a tight knit community, and with so many
people having so much in common with each other, bimmerforums has
even come together many times to help out people in times of need.
This includes sending items to members deployed in the military to
show their gratitude and support, and even helping a member with
funeral costs when a loved one passed away.
