Black Zero is the unofficial name for the phony duplicate of the character Zero from the Megaman X video game series.
He appears in an official capacity in Megaman X2 if the player manages to recover all of Zero's parts, if the player fails this task they must battle the real Zero before the final boss.
However success removes the battle and scean has the villain Sigma reveals his new Partner, Zero, only to have the real zero appear and destroy the copy with ease.
Black Zero is also the alternate "armor" for Zero in Mega Man X4(where it is purely aesthetic an accessed with a cheat code), Mega Man X5(where it includes a small power upgrade, given to Zero by Dr Light in the hidden armor capsule) and Mega Man X8.
