Blade Stormgate is a fictional character and main protagonist of the 'Blade's Legacy' series. Her before names were Blade Highwind and before that, Blade Lombardi, but had to be removed because of copyright reasons.

Blade was born on July 31, 1989. She has three brothers and two sisters, and grew up in Detroit. Blade and her siblings were separated at only a few months, due to what a vision told their mother. Her siblings went to average homes, and Ashley grew up in an aristocrat's home.
Because of her childhood, Blade is aggressive and will stop at nothing to defeat an enemy. Although she is active enough (by running around to defeat her main enemy Shadow), she is a gaming expert and knows nearly everything about them. It's even rumoured she owns every single Sonic The Hedgehog game, but this rumour is proven false.
Blade can be very foul-mouthed and short-tempered, but inside she has a warm heart. It is even revealed that she would die to save her friends, and Blade DOES go to extreme limits to protect them. She has a lot of near-death experiences, but not as much as one of her best friends Blossum Gainsborough, who is kidnapped almost once a week.


Blade's Siblings

Blade has five siblings - three brothers and two sisters.

Ashley - a extremely girlish teenager that is in love with Cloud, who is already taken by her best friend. Ashley is a giggly and yet whiny 'princess' and hates getting dirty. She is the exact opposite of Blade. When Ashley moans, Blade follows up with "Well, excuuuuuuse me, PRINCESS!", telling us the sign that Blade does not really like Ashley.

Crystal - a girl with extraordinary singing abilities and is an expert pilot and mechanic. Crystal is neither girlish or boyish, but she gets dirty, so it would make her slightly boyish.

Jack - a DJ with abilities to compose tunes of whatever he wants. He usually makes a challenge for the rest of his siblings.

Eddie - A loud and hyper boy that has a resemblance to Cloud, and makes the other Stormgates look like beginners. Whenever someone says "I'm a professional", Eddie always follows up with "A professional WHAT?"

Johnny - A boy that knows everything, he is laid back and tells the other Stormgates about enemies powers and their weaknesses.

Blade gets on with all her brothers and sisters, but tends to bicker endlessly with Ashley. Ashley also said once "I wish she would just go HOME!" after she thought Blade was showing off too much. Blade also said that she was "a whiny, show-off, girlish brat" but denied to her saying that.

Blade's friends

Blade has a lot of friends, but her four main ones are Cloud Stevenson, Blossum Gainsborough, Link and Vyvyan Taylor.

Cloud Stevenson - a handsome man that is in love with Blossum. He bears a resemblance to Eddie and is named after Cloud from Final Fantasy 7.

Blossum Gainsborough - a beautiful young woman from the slums, she is in love with Cloud. She is not very powerful physically, but her magic skills are a sight to be witnessed.

Link - a man, born as a forest child in the forest, he was appointed Guardian Of The Forest and lives there in a large treehouse. He is shy at first, but grows more confident. He is Blade's childhood and best friend.

Vyvyan Taylor - a crazy punk who never seems to be sober. He is named after Vyvyan from The Young Ones and acts just like him too. He can come up with good plans, some better than ever, but when he's drunk the others better watch out.

Trivia

Blade is right-handed.

Blade is a fan of rap and rock - this is seen when she is seen listening to Eminem, as Blade is a huge fan of his. Her favourite rappers including Eminem are Tupac, Fatman Scoop, Proof, Notorious B.I.G., Bugz, and Kanye West. She is also a fan of AC/DC, The Who, Crush 40, Rammstein, and of course her own band Downfall.

Although Blade is skilled with her electric guitar, she can also play Ashley's piano, Eddie's drums and is a skilled singer too.

Blade is 17 years old.

Blade was originally going to kill herself to save the world, while Cloud asked her a question similiar and she said she would.

Blade has been shot thirteen times and is still alive. Ashley said to her "another time and she's a goner".

Blade has kissed (or has been)mostly Link. When Link is in his blue warrior clothes, he puts his hands on her face without saying anything and looks around as if he is searching for someone and suddenly kisses her. Although Blade is a character who usually dislikes love (for example, whenever Cloud kisses Blossum, Blade turns away and pretends to be sick) she blushed and forced a smile after Link's action.

"Reise, Reise" is Blade's favourite song.

Blade's Secrets (Sunny and Stormy) resemble Chao from Sonic The Hedgehog.

The Stormgate children never found their parents.

Blade's catchphrase is "Video games are bad for you? That's what they said about rock and roll".

Ashley tells Link "you better watch out for her" (talking about Blade) when Blade's gang goes down the High Street with the whole city on the pavements watching Blade break into song "It's My Life".

Blade is known to do outrageous dares - she belted out It Takes Scoop in a hotel by jumping on a table, went four hours without fighting, poured petrol on the primary school and then set fire to it, (causing the teachers to nearly arrest her and the primary school pupils cheering on her) videotaping Nintendo on their new Mario game, blowing up Adonia Mines to prevent animal extinction...the list was endless.

Blade is also a big fan of Rik Mayall and Adrian Edmondson - she is constantly watching the Bottom series. She also likes The Young Ones and Filthy Rich and Catflap.

Although Blade grew up in Detroit, she was in fact born in Scotland, but a short while after moved to the USA.

Blade knows Cloud and Link's real names - Stan (Cloud) and Adrian (Link).

Blade cast a spell on the siblings and herself to make themselves younger (around four years old) and they noticed their mother was depressed. The day was September 11. She eventually broke the news that their father had died in the towers. Ashley, who was in hysterics, sang the 9/11 version of Heaven, by DJ Sammy and Yanou, breaking down when she sang the line that made them realise that he wasn't coming home.

Blade's death

It's unknown if Blade ever did defeat Shadow, because he seems to withstand every Final Rush and Ultimate End attack, even when Blade combines the two attacks. But Blade did not really 'defeat' him, Shadow died instantly when Blade was gunned down. She could not heal herself in time, unlike the last shootings, and ended up collapsing in a pool of blood. Shadow was actually affected emotionally ("Who will I have to annoy now??" but he was joking about that).

As a last resort, Cloud and the others took Blade's electric guitar and Vyvyan, who had enough skill to play a decent tune, played Blade's theme "Reise, Reise" to the rest of the world. Blossum was the only one who had the courage to tell everybody "You all have to believe us when we say this, but....as of now, Blade Stormgate is no longer with us" during the song.

What Happened After?

Blade's dead mother's spirit took her to a sacred place, the Rush Sword piercing the veil of the Earth Sage's power, and asked the Sages to revive her. They agreed.

When Blade was revived, the news was given that Blade had gone away (but Blossum told everybody it was false, because she was the only one who actually saw Blade dying).
