Blade TC5 is one New York's oldest and most influential figures in graffiti history. Starting in the early 70s, Blade (one of the original members of The Crazy Five) has painted over 5000 subway cars and was the longest reigning whole car king of the twos-and-fives.

His peak of fame would come during the late 70s when he (sometimes with writing partner Comet) would create some of the most extravagant pieces that would grace the NYC transit line. His whole cars with distinctly cut letters and geometric shapes created renderings of abstract and three dimensional masterpieces.

Unfortunately the lifespan of a painted train did not last very long but Blade had the foresight to photograph many of his paintings; some of which are available on-line.

In the mid 80s, Blade's long running notoriety as subway bomber would transform into professional artist. He has participated in over fifty gallery exhibitions throughout the globe and his work has appeared in numerous publications.

Some of his exhibits include the Groninger Museum in the Netherlands, The Brussels Belgium Gallerie Festival, Whitney Museum of American Art, Musée national des Monuments Français in Paris, the Japan Seminar Symposium and Cleveland's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
