BlaK
BlaK is an Australian Metal band, situated in South Australia, Adelaide.
History
The band started early in July 2005.
4-Signs was the original name and the music played was alternative Grunge/Rock, mainly doing covers of such bands like Nirvana.
In September 2005, the bands lead guitarist, Samuel Southcott, left the band due to his family moving inter-state.
This deeply affected the band and the music.
In January 2006, lead singer Tom Lennard also left to join another band, "Faction 21".
This left
4-Signs with just a drummer, bassist and guitarist.
August 2006, bassist Andy Puckhan invited his old friend Matt Najar to try out for
4-Signs as a guitarist.
Just a week later the remaining members of the band agreed that Matt gelled well with the band, and so accepted him as a new member.
The newly reconstructed
4-Signs now had everything apart from a front-man.
Not long after the acceptance of new guitarist, Matt Najar, the band agreed to change its name to BlaK.
Following the name change, the style of music changed from Grunge to Metal.
>Recently, bassist Andy Puckhan left the band to "take a break" from the "hassles" of music.
He is not expected to return.
BlaK are currently looking for a bassist and front-man.
Plans for the Future
BlaK are currently working on their first single, "The Holocaust", and their first album.
Expect the album to have around 12 songs and the single to have about 5.
