Blind Beauty is the story of a horse, a girl, and a bonding friendship that will last forever. It is set in modern day England, at Equestrian premises. Tessa is a stone-hearted girl with a tragic past who only longs for a close friend. Her stepfather, Maurice, owns a stable, where she discovers the horse who will become her best friend, Buffoon. Together they create a close, loving friendship and win the Grand National towards the end of the book. Tessa becomes more light hearted. Peyton emphasizes greatly how Tessa's heart changes.
