Blitzed is an Internet Relay Chat (IRC) network founded on October 31st, 2000 in response to the collapse of WreckedNet.
It initially had two servers and around 31 regular users.
Over the years it has grown substantially in size and now has around 11 public servers.
It can be reached by connecting to [irc://irc.blitzed.org irc.blitzed.org].
Staff of this network also developed the Blitzed Open Proxy Monitor (BOPM).
This is an open proxy monitor that has the ability to perform port scans and check against a proxy blacklist, called the Blitzed Open Proxy Monitor List (OPM).
BOPM and OPM are in use by many networks around the globe.
OPM has been shut down on May 7th, 2006 due to lack of server resources and busy staff members.
