BlogExplosion is internet's first and largest blog traffic exchange and community website.

It's main attraction is it's traffic exchange for blogs. The most popular secondary features are the forum, radio station, chat rooms, and games.

BlogExplosion was originally created by Jeff Trumble and Thomas Dahlberg and was opened in 2004 and was nothing more than a traffic exchange service. Over time new features were added to the site including a games, an audio/video capable chatroom, forum, games, and a radio station.

The most popular seconday feature is Battle of the Blogs. Two blogs enter a battle and members vote for the best blog.

Since it's inception, BlogExplosion has since inspired others, such as BlogSoldiers, BlogMad, BlogAZoo, and BlogAdvance, to create similar services.

As of September 23 2006 the site had over 53,000 members and included over 42,000 blogs in its directory.

BlogExplosion was sold on April 24 2006 to an as-yet unnamed buyer. <ref>http://www.helpmeblog.com/index.php/blog/blogexplosion_has_been_sold/</ref> The site is currently run by Lewis Johnston.
