Bloody 27 is a 2009 horror film who is directed by Michael Thomas Dunn and stars Michael Winslow, Lauren Brown, Martin Seijo and Ilana Cohen.

Plot

The feature film is set on an abandoned highway near the Everglades where people have been vanishing over the past 25 years.^[1]

Production

Shooting of the film began on October 6, 2007 throughout Florida. Principal photography wrapped in May 2008.^[2] Principal photography began on October 6, 2007, according to the Orlando Chosen Sentinel ^[3] and the Hollywood Reporter.^[4]

Background

The 1973 Plymouth Duster used throughout the film was inspired by the car used in the Steven Spielberg movie Duel.^[5] The 1971 Plymouth in Duel features the same basic chassis, interior and front end—although Bloody 27 features a coupe (Duster) instead of Duel's sedan (Valiant).^[6]
