The group consists entirely of undergraduate women who write,
direct, and perform all-original material. In addition to the cast,
the group maintains a standing crew, business staff, and band.
Bloomers performs two major shows during the academic year in the
spring and fall semesters, with smaller guest performances at
coffee houses, charity events and comedy clubs.
The group was
named for newspaper editor and women's rights pioneer Amelia Jenks
Bloomer.
