Blue Crash Kit is a webcomic "documenting the private lives of polyamorous heroes". It is named after its central characters, Blue, Crash and Kit, who are furries based loosely on the comic's creators, respectively Rob Hamm (writer and occasionally artist), Cat Glewwe ("creative director") and Shannon Henry (usual artist). The tone is slapstick and tongue-in-cheek, with frequent popular culture parodies.

Unusually for a webcomic, with very rare exceptions it updates daily (though some days are fillers or fan art).

Main Characters

Blue (superhero name Talon) is a panther/timberwolf hybrid, who looks like a blue (anthropomorphic) wolf. Talon's powers include super strength, stamina, and agility. Small arms fire bounces off his skin (although it sometimes hurts), he regenerates damage quickly, and has enhanced senses. He is big, athletic and not too bright, and somewhat lacking in domestic and social skills. When Crash first moved in with him, she found a sentient slime called Stew living in his fridge.

Crash (superhero name Firecat) is "part tiger, part Scottish wildcat, part cheetah, and part speculation". She has tiger stripes on her arms, and red hair. She provides the common sense for the group.
Firecat's powers include flight, telekinesis (including a telekinetic shield), and producing flame.

Kit (superhero name Enigma, some of the time at least) is an arctic fox. She is quirky and perhaps a little insane, mischievous, impulsive, and childlike, but also stealthy.

Enigma's powers include the ability to shapeshift into living things to which she has had opportunity to attune herself, gaining their abilities in the process. Unfortunately everything she turns into has pink highlights. She has difficulty settling on a name and has called herself the Pink Ninja and (in hamster form, with a pink cape and a pink "J" on her chest) "Justice Hamster". Kit came up with the group's battle cry, "Justice is Cute", and another of the comic's catchphrases, "We love you more than cheese." Her uncle Melvin has been teaching her some of his necromantic lore and she has some powers similar to a cleric in Dungeons and Dragons.

To Crash's frustration, Blue and Kit (transformed into an armadillo) sometimes play a destructive indoor game called "armadillo hockey bowling".

Supporting Characters

Sarah, a lioness, is a doctor who put herself through medical school by earning money as a swimsuit model. She is beautiful, intelligent and trained in martial arts. She lives next door to Blue, Crash and Kit with her boyfriend Seth, a rabbit, who is a freelance web developer and inventor.

Tizzy Dorkenheimer, a mouse, is a newscaster who is writing a book about Talon, Firecat and Enigma.

Wereferret is the team's would-be nemesis and supervillain, except that she keeps helping them and fighting crime. Her super power is turning into a ferret, which, since she is already a ferret, isn't (she admits) a very impressive power.
