"Blue Eyes" is a song written by Elton John and Gary Osborne, and recorded by Elton John. It was released in 1982, both as a single and as part of the album Jump Up!, and it reached #12 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song went to #1 on the adult contemporary chart, becoming John's sixth chart-topper on this list. This song was later played briefly on a Season 2 episode of The Boondocks called "Tom, Sarah & Usher".

The video to the track was filmed in Australia.

Technical details

Musically, the song is complex, with the verses in the key of B flat, and the chorus in the key of D minor. An instrumental solo, in the related flat major key of E flat, serves as a middle and outro.
