Blues City Cafe is world famous BBQ Cafe on Beale Street in Memphis, TN.
Blues City Café is known as the “Best meal on Beale” located at 138 Beale at the corner of Beale Street and second directly across from the world famous BB Kings place. Famous for its mouth watering ribs using the recipes of the locally beloved, late chef Bonnie Mack who oversaw the operation for many years. Simple old school diner is the presentation with an eclectic mix of random chairs and booths and a concrete floor. It’s like a journey back in time generous portions of what we natives call “wet style” ribs are served up, with traditional sides of beans steak fries and the ever present Cole slaw. Besides the ribs they also have great steaks, and a shrimp pan plate that is a real favorite. The rib ovens are right there in full view and the place has a comfy at home feel even if you an out-of-towner.

Blues City Café also has an attached entertainment side with some of the better acts around town, plus traveling bands that often grace the stage.
