Blunt is a Danish reggae/rock band. The banned was formed in summer 2000 by Jimmie Tagesen and Jake BN. They released their first EP in 2001, and followed it up with their first album Reggae da Nation in 2003. In 2008 they are prepared for the release of their second album Ten Ton Reggae Machine<ref>http://bluntnation.dk/</ref>. Blunt have also appeared on two compilation albums, called Århus Ødelægger Julen (Århus Destroys Christmas) and Stem Svin (Vote Pig), the first one an alternative chistmas EP and the second a voting advertisement cd<ref>http://www.musikliv.dk/modules.php?op=modload&name=Reviews&file=index&req=showcontent&id=8</ref>.

Sound

When the band was first formed, the band members did not really know much about reaggae, since they had only previously played in more metal oriented bands. Blunt has then become known for mixing elements of rock and heavy metal into reggae, giving them a somewhat unique sound, compared to the more dancehall oriented reggae scene in Denmark<ref>http://www.musikliv.dk/modules.php?op=modload&name=Reviews&file=index&req=showcontent&id=8</ref>, with groups such as Bikstok Røgsystem, Bli Glad and solo artists such as Natasja Saad.
