Hillsborough County Public Schools, Florida is a school district headquartered in Tampa, Florida. It is more commonly referred to as the School District of Hillsborough County, or SDHC.

The SDHC serves all of Hillsborough County and is the 3rd largest school district in Florida and the 11th largest district in the United States.[1] It is governed by the School Board of Hillsborough County, which consists of 10 elected members and one superintendent, who is hired by the board. MaryEllen Elia has served as Superintendent of Hillsborough County Public Schools since 2005. Website

Bob Martinez Middle School was openemjd in 2002 on Lutz Lake Fern Road in Lutz, Florida.

The school is named in honor of Florida Govenor Bob Martinez, who was an educator in Hillsborough County, Florida.

The school mascot is the Mustang.
