President of and General Counsel to New River Gorge Corporation providing extensive real estate and government contract background.
New River Gorge has searched or supervised the acquisition of over 1,500 properties for the following federal parks: Moore's Creek Bridge, Guilford Battleground Park, Appalachian National Scenic Trail (Virginia, West Virginia, and Maryland), Mississippi Sandhills Crane, OBED Wild and Scenic River, Harper's Ferry National Historic Park, Bogue Chitto National Wildlife Reserve, Shenandoah National Park, New River Gorge National Scenic River, Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area.
In addition, New River Gorge has been responsible for the purchase of approximately $15 million in real estate every year for eight (8) years, and the handling of $5 million in federal flood disaster insurance funds for the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
These projects are nationwide, and have involved the following jurisdictions: North Carolina, New York, Alabama, Connecticut, New Jersey, Mississippi, Illinois, Michigan, Kansas, Missouri, Texas, California and Colorado (1980 to present).
