Bobaloo (born
Robert Koenig on
February 13,
1973 in
Milwaukee, Wisconsin) is a
gay comedian and
actor.
Bobaloo has been lighting up the national gay comedy scene for the past 5 years, playing
sold out shows in cities across the US, and soon internationally at the New Bears' Eve celebration
in Berlin.
His radio roots stem from graduating at the top of his class at the Specs Howard School of Broadcasting in 1995, and immediately hitting the air on 94 WKTI in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
After relocating to Los Angeles he began his standup and acting careers, immediately finding success in both.
He's appeared in commercials, TV shows (Queer Edge with Jack E.
Jett, Out Q Live), and films (Socket, Gay Bed & Breakfast Of Terror, The Snake) including his soon-to-be-released live comedy DVD, "Full Release".
On the radio he was a frequent guest and an eventual permanent guest of The John McMullen Show on Sirius OutQ 106.
Onstage he's performed at "Outlaugh!"
(The first multi-day GLBT comedy festival in the U.S.), Margaret Cho's "The Sensuous Woman", and toured the country in his one-man show, Do Not Pass Go.
Bobaloo continues to play standup dates across the country, including bear and pride events designed to raise money for various HIV/AIDS and GLBT related charities.
