Boles Creek Wrestling (or
BCW) is a
professional wrestling
promotion based in
Siskiyou County,
California. It is one of four northern California promotions to
hold events north of Sacaramento. The others include
MainEvent Wrestling Federation
(
Chico),
Ultimate Championship
Wrestling (
Yuba City) and
Pro Championship
Wrestling (Yuba City/
Oroville).
BCW was founded in 2004
by Dustin Wood (known as "The Future") initally as his senior
project at his alma mater Weed High School in
Weed, California.
The promotion held its inaugural show
Breakdown at the
Weed Mercantile Mall on
February 5,
2005 and crowned Dustin as its first Heavyweight
Champion when he defeated "The Warrior" Darren Barbieri. He held
the title for nearly two years before being defeated by T.J. Legend
at
Fatal Awakening at the Weed Elementary School Gymnasium
on
October 28,
2006.
In 2006, BCW almost
closed because its primary sponsor back out prior to their July
2006 event
HeatWave. But several sponsors jumped on board
and helped to keep the promotion open. Shows are primarily held at
the Weed High School Gymnasium, except for the three events
mentioned.
In February 2007, BCW reached an agreement to have
taped events televised on
MCTV 15 on
Northland Cable Television's
cable channel 15. Videos of match highlights and vignettes appear
on
YouTube and the
promotion's
official
website.
On
March
24,
2007, BCW will held
its next big event
Deadly Game at Weed High School.
