Bombing Neverland, a four piece band that Hails from Burlington
Ontario Canada. The Band consists of members
John Fielding (Vocals,
Guitar), Mike Hanley ( Vocals, Bass), Mike O'Brien ( Drums) and
Brad Sumak ( Guitar, vocals). Ex members consist of Chris ( Valour)
Rielly. The band formed in May 2007 while recording debut album
Gone
Belltower with famed producer
Ryan Greene.
HistoryThe
band was once called
Out of Options, but decided to change the
name due to roster changes and a new sound.
Out of Options was a
band formed by
John Fielding, Kurtis Brown, Jesse King and
Mike Hanley. After touring in 2005, Brown and King departed the
band. They were replaced with O'Brien and Rielly. After touring for
a year and half under the identity of
Out of Options Fielding decided the band
was a different band with a different sound. When the band entered
Crush recording studio with producer
Ryan Greene they decided to change the name
of the band to
Bombing Neverland with encouragement of
Greene. The band was in the studio for just over a month, and
became very close with Greene.
Present
Returning home, the band walked into a local buzz before even
playing a show under the new name, due to working with Greene.
Posting songs on the internet, the band received an instant
following. By the time the band played there first show under the
new identity, fans were already singing the words to a handful of
songs. The band has headlined tours across Canada, and had great
independent success. After the release of
Gone Belltower Chris
Rielly decided to leave the band. He was replaced by Guitarist Brad
Sumak, who is known as a member of the
Spicolis. The band is currently touring Canada
for the rest of 2008, and will begin writing a follow up to
Gone
Belltower. It is rumored that Fielding and
Ryan Greene or forming a
record company called
FMG (
Faction Music Group)
