The term "boothie" refers to people who either own or operate
booths at craft shows, historical reinactments, conventions, or
other such venues. At renaissance festivals or faires, many
boothies are persons who are faire chasers - i.e., when the current event
has completed its season, they relocate to another festival in
operation. Some of these booth owners are, by definition, vagrants
- they work during the summer seasons and live in a non-permantent,
migratory fashion (such as camping out or renting short-term
dwellings.)
