Bosch Communications
SystemsTelex Communications, Inc.
Now under the
ownership of the Bosch Group, “Telex Communications, Inc.”
designates the professional audio group containing the Dynacord®,
Electro-Voice®, Klark Teknik®, Midas®, Telex® and RTS™
brands.
Following the September 2006 acquisition of Telex
Communications, Inc. by the Bosch Security Systems (“ST”) division,
Bosch announced that the title and structure of the new ST business
unit containing the Telex Communications, Inc. group of brands
would be named “Bosch Communications Systems,” effective January
1st, 2007.
Bosch Communications Systems is therefore a larger
“umbrella” over the Telex Communications, Inc. umbrella. “Telex
Communications, Inc.” remains the legal name of this group of
brands, and appears under “Bosch Communications Systems" on
business cards, etc. The Bosch Communications Systems name
emphasizes the Telex Communications, Inc. brands’ newly unified
presence with the Bosch Group on a global scale.
The creation of
the Bosch Communications Systems—a business unit of Bosch Security
Systems—sees Bosch poised to become one of the world’s leading
manufacturers and suppliers of professional audio, wireless, life
safety and communication equipment.
Bosch systems have been
installed in a wide range of applications (such as large stadium
and airport projects) where customer demand for turnkey sound
solutions combined with security systems is growing. Likewise, the
Dynacord®, Electro-Voice®, Midas®, Klark Teknik®, Telex® and RTS™
brands are renowned for their role in the world’s most critical,
high-profile installations and events. In acquiring the Telex
Communications, Inc. brands, Bosch is now in the unique position of
being able to offer complete sound & security system solutions
for all applications. And, like Bosch, the Telex Communications,
Inc. brands carry significant cachet, along with valued histories
in research and development. For example, U.S.-based Electro-Voice
celebrates its 80th Anniversary in 2007. The strong brands of Telex
Communications, Inc. are, and will remain, very much alive in name,
location, spirit and quality under Bosch ownership. Indeed, the
global resources and long-term growth-based business philosophy
that Bosch brings to the table sees them secured for leadership in
every pro audio vertical market: "Together, the Future Sounds
Secure" was one tagline used to emphasize this position during the
initial integration phase.
The creation of Bosch Communications
Systems likewise expands the breadth of Bosch Security Systems'
video surveillance, intrusion alarm, fire alarm and evacuation
systems management, access control, and communications systems
portfolio. With some 7,800 associates, the Bosch Security Systems
division is represented at more than 40 locations in Europe, the
Americas, and Asia Pacific. The acquisition of Telex
Communications, Inc. family of brands and the creation of the Bosch
Communications Systems business unit boosts the company’s solid
global presence even further.
