American Specialty Manufacturing, Inc. was formed in 1983 in Rochester, New York as a privately held company that exclusively manufactures "Boss Sauce." The company opened its first location on Canal Street. The popularity of the sauce grew. After several years of tremendous growth, we moved to a larger facility at 687 Portland Avenue where we are today. We are celebrating over 20 years of business, health and growth. A note from "The Boss"

For years my mother prepared lunch, dinner and a variety of snack plates...topping cooked meats, fish, poultry and tossed salads with a secret family recipe, one that has been handed down for several generations. I worked as a Chef and Manager for a famous restauranteur for several years. However, in 1981 I decided to open my own restaurant in Rochester, New York. It was called Eddie's Chicken Coop.

While trying to create a unique sauce for my own restaurant, my mother, in her loving manner, suggested that I try the secret family recipe. I began to use the secret sauce in my restaurant just as we had at home. It was an instant success! We all agreed that this sauce was the Boss of all Sauces! From that beginning the Boss Sauce was born!
