Bougainville is the largest island of the Solomon Islands archipelago, and part of Papua New Guinea.

Most operations for Bougainville are run out of Buka Island north of Bougainville. The capital city, Arawa, has intermittent power and is still being rebuilt after the conflict in the 90s.
