The Box Hill Chess Club is a chess club based in
Melbourne,
Victoria,
Australia. Founded
in 1952, the club experienced significant growth the early 2000s as
a result of its emphasis on the promotion of junior players. As of
2006, it is the largest chess club in Australia in terms of
membership. The club is affiliated with Victoria's governing body
for chess, Chess Victoria.
