Name and Nature

The organization will be acknowledge with the name “BOYS LEGION”. A member of Boys Legion shall be recognized as a “Legionnaire”.

On the 25th day of September, 2005, Boys Legion was officially established. It is an all male , non-sectoral organization. It is one of the well known bisexual organization in the Philippines.

The organization shall follow a modified democratic form of government. Democracy is the kind of governance where the officers are serving the members and not ruling over them. Whereas, the voice of the members are always taken into account for every decision making. Proper representation of its constituents is ensured. This ideal is pursued by implementing some form of a voting system, usually involving indirect representation.

Vision:
Boys Legion envisions a society of empowered citizens united as one; a community of individuals imbued with maturity, versatility, and integrity; a group of critical thinkers and goal oriented leaders striving for service and excellence; men that stands with moral and ethical principles; and Legionnaires working harmoniously to promote an avenue for self-actualization.

Mission:
Boys Legion aims to create an ambiance of equality and acceptance despite diversity and individual differences among members. We foster camaraderie, strengthen our bonds, and act as one family. The legion is a locus for reaching a person’s utmost potential and infusing in them the fundamentals for success. It is our duty to respect and protect the rights of men like us, serve the society to the extent of our capabilities, and be leaders for social change and innovations.

FAQs

Q: Is Boys Legion restricting its membership to discreet bisexuals only?
A: No, BL is open to anyone whether they're bisexual, straight, and gay. Actually, BL is also accepting female honorary members. As long as they are willing to respect the members and abide by the organization's policies.

Q: Is Boys Legion related to Legion of Mary?
A: Definitely not. It is a different organization that deals with religion.

Affiliations

Boys Legion is affiliated with Ang Ladlad partylist, the first national organization for gays, lesbians, bisexuals, and transgenders (LGBT). Also, BL is helping First Time Voters Project, the organization that advocating youth to vote every election.
