Brandon Slagle (born
April 26 in
Austin,
Texas) is an
American actor and
composer. He is of
Cherokee Indian and
German descent. He spent most of his life between
his father in
Texas and his
mother in
New
Jersey. In
1999, he formed
the
industrial metal band
Die Section, which was endorsed by
Static-X frontman
Wayne Static and managed by
Jon Nelson of band promotions company http://www.streetteam.net.
The band gained wide underground acclaim and many fans before
suddenly breaking up in
2002.
They briefly re-emerged under the moniker of [zeropointzero] with
Brandon and friend
Brad Fincher still in the lineup, respectively
on
vocals/
guitars, and
drums and other new members. That version of the
band never reached its full potential and soon broke up as well. In
2005 he released an
independent film,
The Dark Avengers - film, which he
wrote, directed, edited, scored, and starred in, which played
theatrically in
Dallas,
Texas, and was based on
characters that he and friend
Jeremy Johnson created in
1989. He currently lives in
Teaneck,
New Jersey where he is working as an
actor and
film composer. In 2006 he joined the submissions review
committee of the NEW JERSEY INTERNATIONAL FILM AND SCREENPLAY
FESTIVAL, which is the largest film festival in New
Jersey.
