Biography
Brandoom (Brandon Vincent) was born on
December 21,
1989, in
Bracebridge,
Ontario,
Canada.
Although he originally lived in
Gravenhurst, Ontario, there had been no hospital there at the time and still remains without a hospital.
In the earliest half of his life, Brandon lived in an apartment where he had lived at the time of his birth, but soon moved to a suburban home in
Bracebridge, Ontario where he lived up until the time he had to switch schools.
Brandon's parents had not been together since before he was born but he enjoyed the company of his stepfather a lot more than the company of his rarely appearing dad regardless.
He switched schools in grade 6 because of serious issues at the previous school (
Bracebridge Public School) with certain others and moved to
Muskoka Falls Public School which caused him to move out of town towards
Haliburton,
Ontario (where he currently resides).
Living in
Uffington was a major change for Brandon because of the lack of social communication and kids his age in the other.
However, this wasn't a bad thing, it lead Brandon to find new ways to entertain himself like learning guitar and practicing vocal work.
He began highschool at
Bracebridge and Muskoka Lakes Secondary School in 2003 where he was harassed for slightly being a part of the
emo stereotype (which was entirely untrue, Brandon had never at any point in his life cut his wrists, or enjoyed that kind of music.
His style had been different than the rest, it wasn't a trendy look, it was a good look.
Brandon listens to brutal music, filth that causes your ears to shrivel up and fall off, not emo).
That same year Brandon and 3 of his close friends decided to try and do something musically, and ended up creating the band Parkway (which was also know as itsuitsu and Through Fire, Through Flame).
The band played a coffee house at the highschool and broke up soon after because of issues within the band.
In 2004, after gaining the respect of his peers and losing the
emo stereotype, Brandon was called on to have a physical alteration with a soon-to-be best friend, Tommy Arthur (
Tommytwotime)
[1494].
The fight never happened but Brandon and Tommy soon talked to actually find out what the cause of this alteration was, and there never actually was one.
Brandon and Tommy from then on became extremely good friends and to this date, they still go on the most insane adventures every weekend as often as they can.
During the summer of 2006, Brandon had aquired interest in a girl named Brittany Ritchie and at one of her parties, they decided to have a relationship.
That same night due to the heavy intoxication, Brandon was doing vocal work upstairs in the house.
Current members of
The Mourning Choir Jamieson, Randell and Anto heard him upstairs and were instantly intrigued by his vocal talent.
On that spot they asked him to be in the band and Brandon's real music career started then.
The Mourning Choir was a very prosperous obsession for Brandon, Jamieson taught him the lyrics and vocal styles to use within the songs, and the band progressed from there.
Something completely unexpected happened in august of the same year, after kicking Jamieson out of the band for skipping practices and having absolutely no ambition, problems within the band started becoming more serious.
The gutarist Ken started jamming with a new band and things started to become rather boring for everyone in the band.
3 days before the
August, 26 show at the
Foundation Night Club in
Barrie,
Ontario, Brandon, Josh and Randell decided to call it quits and announce it as our last show.
Brandon moved back to
Bracebridge after all these dramatic episodes occured and started going to school and accomplishing everything else that needed to be accomplished.
In september, former members of
The Mourning Choir Josh and Randell brought the opportunity up to start a more
grindcore-
Me and Him Call it Us-influenced band and Brandon agreed immediately.
He chose the name The Cardinal which suited them perfect.
